Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
When you use FaceFate we may process: (a) photos you upload for analysis; (b) account information (name, email) if you register; (c) the AI-generated analysis results you choose to save; (d) optional feedback votes on analysis accuracy; and (e) messages you send through the contact form.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your photos are used solely to generate your face reading, beauty suggestions and (if requested) an AI-generated preview image. Saved readings are used only to show you your own history. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos for advertising or for training AI models.
3. Third-Party AI Processing
To generate analyses, your photo is transmitted to third-party AI model providers such as Google (Gemini) and OpenAI via their enterprise/commercial API services. Under the applicable enterprise API standards agreed by these providers, data submitted through their APIs is not used to train their models and is handled in accordance with their respective data processing terms. We do not control these providers' infrastructure and disclaim responsibility for their independent acts or omissions to the extent permitted by law.
4. Storage, Visibility and Retention
Saved readings and photos are stored against your account and protected by access rules: no other user can view your saved readings or the photos linked to them. If you use FaceFate without logging in, your results exist only in your current browser session and are not saved to our servers; once you leave, no history of yours (or anyone else's) is shown unless data remains in your own browser storage. You may delete any saved reading and its photo at any time using the in-app delete controls.
5. Security and Liability Disclaimer
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for data or image leakage caused by system breakdowns, outages, or security incidents affecting us or our third-party providers (including AI model providers and hosting/infrastructure providers). Where required by law, we will notify affected users of significant data incidents. This disclaimer does not limit any rights you have under applicable data protection laws (including, where relevant, the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and the EU/UK GDPR).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your saved app data without deleting your account on the Data deletion page, or contact us for other requests via the Contact page.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). Photos of minors should only be uploaded with the consent of a parent or guardian.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy from time to time; the latest version will always be available on this page. For any privacy questions, contact us via the Contact page.
